E-sir Biography: E-sir is a Kenyan celebrated hip hop artist born on May 20th 1981 in California Estate, and raised in South C estate Nairobi, Kenya.
E-sir’s birth name was Issah Mmari Wangui.
E-sir was the elder brother to fellow Kenyan rapper Habib.
E-sir attended St. Anne’s Junior Academy for his Primary school studies.
E-sir attended Brook-House Senior School where his music career nurtured in form of love for poetry. After leaving high school, he went along to pursue his music career and in 1999, the Ogopa DJs label signed him.
He first came to be known in 2001 by his song “Jo”, a song done in the same style as Black Rob’s “Whoa.” The song proudly declared E-Sir’s arrival on the Kenyan music scene and was featured on the Ogopa DJs debut album
E-Sir died in a road accident on March 16, 2003, while in the company of fellow label mate Nameless (real name David Mathenge).
