Kazungu attended Mwijo Primary School and later joined Shimo la Tewa Secondary School for his ‘O Level’ studies (1978- 1982) and for his ‘A Level’ studies (1982-1983).
Kazungu holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Development Studies from The University of Eastern Africa Baraton.

Kazungu Kambi was elected to represent the Kaloleni Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the Kenyan parliamentary election, 2007 under the Party of National Unity.
