Kimani Ichung’wah was brought up in Gikambura Village of Karai Location in what is now known as Kikuyu Constituency.
Kimani Ichung’wah was enrolled at the Kikuyu Model Nursery school, then joined Kikuyu Township Primary school from where he proceeded to join Alliance High school where he left in 1994.
Early 1995, he proceeded to Strathmore’s school of Accounting for his Accounting (CPA) studies. In 1996, he joined the University of Nairobi graduating with an Honors degree in Economics in the year 2000.
Mr Kimani is enrolled for and studied a diploma course in Banking and Finance after he completed his CPA’s qualifying as a CPA-K while still in his 2nd year at the University and is currently enrolled to the Executive MBA programme for a Masters degree.
Upon graduation, Kimani Ichung’wah worked with Diversey E.a Ltd, then a fully owned subsidiary of the multinational Unilever Plc of London. He has also worked for Madison Insurance as a senior Accountant, in charge of General and Medical Insurance as a Senior Divisions and the Standard Group Ltd as Head of Treasury and deputizing of the group financial Controller before joining SafexAfrica as Director of Finance and Administration in 2008.
In 2007, Kimani Ichung’wah sort to be the change that he wanted to see in Kikuyu and offered himself for election as the MP he lost the seat but thereafter in the 2012 elections he was elected as Kikuyu Constituency MP. Engaging himself in various development initiatives and has a special passion in Educational support evidenced by the various projects he has successfully ran since he was elected.
