Kenneth Lusaka was born on 18th September 1963.

Kenneth Lusaka attended Kamukuywa Primary School, then Kibabii High School for his ‘O’ Levels and later Chesamisi High School and Friends School Kamusinga for his ‘A’ levels. After high school, he went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Government and History. From the Institute of Social Studies in the Netherlands, he earned an MA in Public Policy and Administration, and was the President of Scholars for the student body.

Kenneth Lusaka resigned as a Permanent Secretary in 2012, to make a debut in elective politics where he contested the Bungoma Gubernatorial seat during the 2013 General Elections.
Lusaka became and served as the 1st Governor of Bungoma County in Kenya since 2013 to 2017.

Kenneth Lusaka is married to Margaret Makelo.
